Milan have met with Rafael Leao’s entourage and laid out a plan for his potential exit, claim reports, demanding €60-70m that could be a loan with obligation to buy for Tottenham or Manchester United.
The striker had a difficult campaign under coach Max Allegri and was often played out of position as a centre-forward, then reacted angrily when substituted early.

Their failure to qualify for the Champions League saw the coach fired and Ruben Amorim brought in, but the Rossoneri are still not confident they want to keep their top earner.

His contract expires in June 2028 and negotiations to extend have been at a standstill for months, so today multiple sources including Sky Sport Italia and MilanNews confirm the club directors met with Leao’s entourage.
The message was that he is for sale at €60-70m, enough to make a considerable profit as he was purchased for what eventually rose to €49.5m from LOSC in 2019.
Most notably, this could also be a loan with obligation to buy at the end of the season, therefore making it easier to find a suitable buyer.
So far, the proposals have only come from Galatasaray and Fenerbahce, but Leao has his heart set on the Premier League or LaLiga, as he confessed to Portuguese media.
Manchester United are the main candidates, though they seem to have other priorities right now, and Roberto De Zerbi’s Tottenham Hotspur were mentioned.

What Milan do not want is to be stuck with an unhappy Portugal international after the World Cup, with his contract running down and few offers.
