According to Spanish outlet ABC via FCInterNews, they’ve agreed to keep the Argentine prodigy at Como for another season.

Nico Paz moved to Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia last summer, penning a contract until 2028.

However, Real Madrid included a buyback clause in the agreement.

Indeed, it would allow them to re-sign Paz for only €9 million this summer.

Yet, they’ll likely pass on that option.

Paz has been Como’s standout performer this season, with six goals and as many assists from 27 Serie A appearances.

Therefore, Fabregas is desperate to keep him for another season.

Meanwhile, Ancelotti believes that would be in the player’s best interest and has agreed to let him stay.

That’s a potentially fatal blow to Inter’s bid to lure Paz to the San Siro in the summer.

But the situation could still change.
