Real Madrid believe that the 20-year-old is a talented player with a bright future, and therefore, they are keeping tabs on his progress. It will be interesting to see if Jimenez can continue to impress during his loan spell in the Premier League.
He is capable of operating as a wide player as well as a full back. He could develop into a quality player with the right guidance. His ability to slot into multiple roles will be an added bonus. It remains to be seen whether Real Madrid decide to bring him back to the club in future.
They could certainly use more depth in the wide areas, and the 20-year-old could be a long-term investment for the club. However, they must let him continue his development with regular gametime right now. They will not be able to provide him with the platform he needs to develop and fulfil his potential.
The 20-year-old will be focused on playing regularly at this stage of his career, and it remains to be seen whether Bournemouth can give him that opportunity. Meanwhile, AC Milan will hope that he can develop into an important player for them as well. They will not want to sell him easily. However, Real Madrid have the financial muscle to convince them. It remains to be seen how the situation unfolds.
