Report Roma down to Summerville details in €50m West Ham agreement | OneFootball

Roma are reportedly down to the details with West Ham United for Crysencio Summerville for €50m including add-ons, so are working on commission, but there’s more clarity on the ‘clause’ issue.

Matteo Moretto and Sport Mediaset both report today that the second bid was also rejected, but that a third was being prepared that should suffice.

Sport Mediaset set this third attempt at £42m plus bonus.

Summerville almost ready for Roma

According to Corriere dello Sport reporter Eleonora Trotta, the player has agreed basic personal terms, and the two clubs have a general deal too.

It should be a total package of €50m, most likely split into €45m fixed fee and €5m in variable performance-related bonuses.

She claims the only remaining issue is commission for the agent and intermediaries.

Meanwhile, there continues to be a great deal of confusion over the presence of a release clause, as Sportitalia claim it will expire in 24 hours and is set at under €50m, Sport Mediaset argue it is worth €53m, and Sky Sport Italia maintain there is no release clause in Summerville’s contract with West Ham.

Moretto is more specific, calling it ‘less a clause, more a pact’ following relegation.

The fact remains, the Hammers need to sell the Netherlands international following their relegation from the Premier League.

They are still making a significant profit, having bought the 24-year-old from Leeds United in the summer of 2024 at a cost of €29.3m.
