Roma have reportedly opened talks with Brighton for Matt O’Riley.
Roma have opened talks with Brighton for Denmark international O’Riley, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Gian Piero Gasperini is the new Roma coach
A former Celtic midfielder, Atalanta were in talks for the 24-year-old last summer, but the Dane eventually joined Brighton.
Gian Piero Gasperini has swapped La Dea with Roma this summer, so the Giallorosi have already made contact to sign the 24-year-old.
According to Gazzetta, Brighton have set a €25m asking price, but the Serie A side are trying to lower their demands.
The pink paper claims that O’Riley is open to joining Roma, where he may replace Leandro Paredes.
Inter midfielder Davide Frattesi was also on the Giallorossi’s radar, but new Nerazzurri boss Cristian Chivu is eager to keep the Italy international at San Siro.

According to the report, O’Riley agents have also offered Roma Union Berlin full-back Josip Juranović.
O’Riley scored two goals and provided four assists in 26 appearances with Brighton in 2024-25.
