Roma sporting director Florent Ghisolfi will reportedly land in Milan in the coming days to discuss the future of Inter star Davide Frattesi.
According to Il Messaggero via FCInterNews, the Giallorossi executive has scheduled a visit to Giuseppe Meazza to negotiate the transfer.
Frattesi’s name features Roma’s list of targets close to the top.
Meanwhile, the 25-year-old is eager to leave the Nerazzurri after losing Simone Inzaghi’s trust.
Indeed, he’s been playing second fiddle to Nicolo Barella this entire season and is no longer comfortable being on the bench.
Therefore, he has requested a transfer, with Inter open to selling, but only for the right price.
Inter have slapped a substantial €45 million price tag on Frattesi’s head.
That’s a prohibitive price for Roma, but Ghisolfi still hopes to find common ground with the Nerazzurri.
He probably bases his ambition on Frattesi’s desire to return to the Stadio Olimpico.
But unless he brings the cash, he’ll probably fly back to Rome empty-handed.
Indeed, Inter will only accept offers in the region of €40m.
Meanwhile, injuries to Hakan Calhanoglu and Henrikh Mkhitaryan could deter Inzaghi’s side from negotiating Frattesi’s sale now.
