Reports on Thursday claim that Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa is keen to leave Napoli for a new experience abroad at the end of the 2024-25 season, but the Partenopei still retain an option to extend his contract for another few seasons.
The former Fulham midfielder is out of contract at the end of the 2024-25 campaign, but both he and the club have an option to extend their current agreement for another two seasons, until the summer of 2027.
However, despite being a guaranteed starter when fit and available, and despite the fact that Napoli are only one point off the lead in a thrilling Serie A title race, Anguissa is reportedly keen to leave at the end of the current campaign.

As per Fabrizio Romano, talks between Anguissa and Napoli over a new contract are currently on hold, which sets up an interesting situation ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to reports from Radio Kiss Kiss and Calciomercato.com, Anguissa’s preference is to move outside Italy and move to a different club abroad for a fresh start.
Naturally, Napoli do not want to lose a starting midfielder for free, so they could still theoretically exercise their option to extend the player’s contract for another two years before looking to sell him on for a fee in the summer.
