Saturday’s reports suggest that Milan are considering making a third approach to Real Madrid in an attempt to bring Brahim Diaz back to San Siro once again.
According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rossoneri could be interested in doing a deal with Madrid for Diaz in January as Paulo Fonseca looks to bolster his ranks in midfield and in attack.
Diaz spent three seasons in San Siro between 2020 and 2023, joining on a season-long loan deal before signing a two-year temporary deal the following summer.
According to Saturday’s reports, Madrid are unlikely to sanction another straight loan deal to Milan, as they would ideally like to find a permanent home for Diaz, who has fallen out of favour at the Bernabeu after the summer arrival of France international Kylian Mbappe.
Though he provided 12 goals and nine assists from 44 appearances last season, the Morocco international has only found the net once in 2024-25, and has only been given two opportunities as a starter this season.
Surplus to requirements under Carlo Ancelotti, there is a possibility that Diaz is moved on in the near future. Milan have not yet made any sort of formal approach, however, even if they are reportedly interested.
