Sport Bild reports that Bayern Munich attacker Serge Gnabry’s injury is sufficiently serious to sideline the 30-year-old through the World Cup. Yesterday, the German record champions revealed that Gnabry incurred an adductor injury during Wednesday’s Champions League victory. The severity of Gnabry’s thigh issues have not yet officially been confirmed by the Bundesliga outfit.

The German tabloid nevertheless claims that Gnabry has suffered an adductor tear that will keep him out of action for three months. This translates to the end of the season and the World Cup for the resurgent German international. Bundestrainer Julian Nagelsmann finds himself in need of another player to fill the No. 10 slot in his 4-2-3-1 formation.
