Inter and Atletico Madrid will both earn around €3 million each from their friendly in Benghazi, Libya, part of the Reconstruction Cup, according to reports from Spain.
The match takes place despite both teams being heavily depleted by international call-ups, with over a dozen players unavailable on each side.
The two teams will take home revenue of approximately €3 million each, as per FCInter1908.
The fixture has been organised in collaboration with the Libyan Reconstruction and Development Fund.
It is intended to symbolise hope and progress for the host nation.
“This match is a message of confidence to the world. Libya, thanks to the efforts of its people, is on the path to recovery and stability,” organisers said in a statement.

Atletico will field a makeshift lineup, with 11 players away on international duty and several others injured.
Diego Simeone is expected to start a blend of first-teamers and academy players, including Griezmann, Giménez, and Almada.
Inter coach Cristian Chivu will similarly use the opportunity to rotate.
The Romanian will give valuable minutes to Luis Henrique, Andy Diouf, and other squad players.
Especially those who have seen limited action so far this season.
Both clubs will travel to Libya and return immediately after the match.
The Spanish media have described it as a “lightning trip” that nonetheless guarantees a mega payday for both clubs.
