Alessandro Bastoni could reportedly end his eight-year association with Inter Milan in the upcoming transfer window.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInter1908, the Nerazzurri have already named their asking price for the Italian defender.
Despite being a key cog in Cristian Chivu’s defensive setup, Alessandro Bastoni could be counting his final months at San Siro.
Indeed, the 26-year-old has drawn inquiries from several top European clubs, including Barcelona and Manchester United.
Meanwhile, the player has found himself in a difficult spot in Serie A after his controversial behavior during last month’s Derby d’Italia.
Bastoni’s current contract expires in 2028, which means Inter can earn a handsome profit from his sale this summer.
The Nerazzurri had asked for around €70 million when Manchester City came knocking on their door a few years ago.
However, the former Atalanta center-back could be available for a significantly lower figure this summer.
Indeed, the Italian giants have reportedly slapped a €50 million price tag on Bastoni’s shoulders.
That’s likely to entice offers for the left-footed defender, whose agent has already held exploratory talks with Barcelona.
Furthermore, Man Utd are also in the mix, as the Red Devils aim to strengthen their fragile backline.
