Inter Milan sent scouts to observe sought-after defender Sam Beukema in last weekend’s Serie A clash between Bologna and Como.
As per FCInterNews, Beukema wasn’t the only player scouted by the Nerazzurri emissaries on Saturday.
It’s no secret the Italian heavyweights are in the market for a new center-back.
With Francesco Acerbi in the autumn of his career, Inter must add another quality defender in the summer.
Despite evaluating several profiles, Beukema is seemingly one of the club’s top priorities.
Beukema left a telling impression on the Inter delegacy as he helped Bologna record another shutout in a 2-0 win.
Meanwhile, his clubmate, Santiago Castro, came off the bench, replacing Thijs Dallinga in the second half.

Castro is another name on Beppe Marotta’s shortlist.
Indeed, the young Argentine could address the inevitable vacancy in the final third at the end of the season.
Marko Arnautovic and Joaquin Correa will wave goodbye to the San Siro in June.
Therefore, Inter have earmarked Castro as a potential summer addition.
Needless to say, the Nerazzurri scouts also kept close tabs on Como starlet Nico Paz.
