Real Madrid’s win against Atletico Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup semifinal earlier this week in Jeddah came at some cost as they saw three of their players end the game with physical problems.

Indeed, coming out of the contest, Antonio Rudiger, Rodrygo Goes, and Raul Asencio were all deemed doubts for Sunday’s final against FC Barcelona.

However, it appears that things are easing up for the Blaugrana’s arch-rivals as the finale in Jeddah nears.

Rodrygo ready, Rudiger willing to push

Indeed, after it emerged on Friday that Raul Asencio was not injured and fit to play, it appears that Rodrygo is also in the same situation.

According to journalist Miguel Angel Diaz of COPE, the Brazilian international does not have a hamstring injury and will be available to play tomorrow in the final.

Rodrygo had finished the semifinal with discomfort and tests on Friday had revealed some discomfort, casting serious doubts over his availability.

However, further examinations earlier today have confirmed that the Brazilian international is not carrying any injury, clearing him to play against Hansi Flick’s men.

Meanwhile, Rudiger, who has been dealing with discomfort in his knee since the start of the week, is eager to play in the Super Cup finale as well.

While he has not fully recovered at this time, the German veteran is continuing to receive his treatment as he desires to ensure his availability for the game tomorrow night.

It remains to be seen whether he receives clearance or not. But with Asencio and Rodrygo fit, and Kylian Mbappe also joining the squad, things are shaping up for Real Madrid as they gear up for the Clasico finale in the Super Cup.
