RMC will devote its schedule to the 2026 World Cup from 11 June to 19 July, promising commentary of all 104 matches and a dedicated run from 15.00 until five in the morning.
According to L'Équipe, director general Karim Nedjari said around 60 percent of games would be called on site and 40 percent from Paris, with a continuous digital radio stream also available.
A 40-strong team will be deployed across the United States, Mexico and Canada, with a studio near New York’s MetLife Stadium. Operations will be based at the CMA Football Center in CMA America’s New Jersey offices, alongside RMC, BFMTV, Brut, la Tribune Dimanche and La Provence.
Super Moscato Show, 15.00 to 18.00, and Rothen s'enflamme, 18.00 to 20.00, will stay in the Paris studio. L'After Foot will be produced on site.
The regular pundit roster returns, including Samuel Umtiti, who will split duties with M6, Christophe Dugarry, Éric Di Meco, Jean-Pierre Papin, Emmanuel Petit and Jean-Michel Larqué. Jean-Louis Tourre will front the big match nights, succeeding Jean Resseguié, now at RTL.
Asked about Umtiti being the only 2018 world champion on French airwaves for this tournament, Nedjari suggested many recent retirees have learned to say little and remain cautious, whereas RMC values forthright opinion, which he said he finds in Umtiti.
Le Cazarre enchaîné, hosted by Julien Cazarre and Jean-Christophe Drouet, will run exclusively on YouTube from early evening, and as a podcast on digital.
