Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski secured for himself a place in an altogether exclusive club during the Blaugrana’s most recent outing.
This came by way of a hat-trick on Sunday evening.
Frontman Lewandowski was for his part back in from the off yesterday, as Barcelona made the trip to Balaídos for a La Liga meeting with Celta Vigo.
And en route to an eventual 4-2 triumph, the Pole proved himself the star of the show.
After first slotting home from the penalty spot, Lewandowski connected with a Marcus Rashford cross to slot home from close range, before rounding out a fine hat-trick with a header during the 2nd-half.
And as alluded to above, these exploits proved enough for the former Bayern Munich man to add his name to a club featuring two of La Liga’s greatest ever players.
As revealed by StatMuse, only three players have managed the following in a Spanish top-flight fixture since 2018:
The trio in question? Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, and now, Lewandowski.
