Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski has on Monday provided a fresh insight into his situation at the club.
This of course comes amid the ongoing speculation surrounding the name of the veteran frontman.
Lewandowski, as things stand, is set to bring a close to his stint in Barcelona colours upon the close of the current campaign.
The former Bayern Munich man’s contract terms will expire this summer, with no agreement having been reached between the parties regarding a renewal.
Lewandowski remains an important member of Hansi Flick’s attacking ranks in Catalunya’s capital, with 16 goals and three assists to his name across 37 appearances this season.
Media speculation, in turn, has long suggested that a one-year Blaugrana extension cannot be ruled out.
Speaking to the media after departing for international duty on Monday, the subject of his future at the Camp Nou was therefore put to the 37-year-old once more.
And Lewandowski went on to explain:
“Nothing has changed regarding my contract with Barcelona. I’ll have the time to sit down and think about the future and my options.”
