Rodrigo Canabarro has announced his retirement from futsal at 39, closing a three-season spell with Corinthians that brought the Campeonato Paulista and the Liga Nacional de Futsal.

According to Meu Timao, the winger arrived in 2022 at 34 after spells in Brazil, Spain and Italy, recruited during a rebuild following the departure of 10 players.

He made his debut in a 3-1 Paulista win over São José, then scored his first goal three games later in a 4-1 LNF victory against Marechal. In 2022 he recorded 12 goals in 40 matches, helping end club droughts of three years in the state competition and six in the national league.

In 2023 he delivered 21 goals in 41 games. Corinthians exited the LNF in the round of 16 to Minas and finished runners-up in the Paulista, losing 5-3 on aggregate to Magnus.

In 2024 his role diminished and he terminated his contract in June after 14 appearances without a goal. His final outing was a 2-1 Paulista defeat to São José, the opponents from his debut.

After leaving, he featured for Yeesco Futsal, Atlântico and Napoli in Italy, cancelling his deal with the latter at the start of this year. A 2025 return to Parque São Jorge was discussed but did not progress. In total he played 95 matches and scored 33 goals for Corinthians.
