Rodrigo Garro delivered two assists as Corinthians beat Platense 2-0 in their Libertadores group opener.
He set up Kayke Ferrari then Yuri Alberto and was Corinthians' leading attacking outlet. According to Meu Timao, that took the Argentine to five assists for the campaign, already beyond half of his 2025 total.
He also supplied key passes in the Brasileiro. He set up Breno Bidon in the loss to Bahia, crossed for Gabriel Paulista in the win over Red Bull Bragantino, and found João Pedro Tchoca in the draw with Cruzeiro at the Mineirão.
It was his first two-assist display since 9 November 2024, in the comeback win over Vitória in the Brasileiro.
After lifting the Campeonato Paulista under Ramón Díaz, he lost minutes through injuries and coaching choices. Dorival Júnior later pushed Breno Bidon higher in midfield, which reduced Garro's minutes.
Now working under Fernando Diniz, the midfielder is aiming to reclaim a leading role. Corinthians face Palmeiras on Sunday at 18:30 at Neo Química Arena in the 11th round of the Brasileirão.
