Rodriguez hat-trick pushes Cuba to victory in W Qualifiers

SANTIAGO DE CUBA, Cuba – The 2025/26 W Qualifiers continued with Cuba taking a 3-nil win against Curaçao in Group E on Sunday at Estadio Antonio Maceo in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba.

The first goal for Cuba came through a penalty kick in the 42’, as Katheryn Rodríguez was ready to take the ball and send it to the back of the net.

Rodríguez secured a brace and the second goal for Cuba in the 59’, once again through a penalty kick.

Cuba pushed to get one more goal before the final whistle, doing so once again through the penalty spot in the 90’.

Cuba will take the field again on March 7 to face Aruba, looking to get back-to-back wins in Group E. Curaçao will also face Aruba to continue their W Qualifiers journey, with that encounter coming on April 14.
