Roma and Milan could battle for two strikers this summer, with links to Atalanta’s Gianluca Scamacca and Manchester United’s Joshua Zirkzee. Tuttosport and Calciomercato.com report both clubs could make offers for Scamacca.
Both clubs are aiming to reshape their attacking departments in the upcoming window. The 22-time Italy international will enter the final year of his deal in 2026-27, and Atalanta are said to want around 20m despite paying 28m to sign him from West Ham in 2023.
Roma and Milan have previously shown interest in former Bologna forward Zirkzee from Manchester United, and could reignite that pursuit in this window.
There have been claims that Manchester United are keen on signing Rafael Leao from Milan this summer, and Friday’s report suggests Milan could potentially look to involve Zirkzee in a player-plus-cash arrangement. Roma remain interested too.
Other forwards linked with a potential summer move to Milan include Juventus’s Dusan Vlahovic and Tottenham loanee Randal Kolo Muani. For Roma, the list is said to include RB Leipzig’s Antonio Nusa, West Ham’s Crysencio Summerville, Porto’s Pepe and Marseille’s Mason Greenwood.
