Roma begin archeological excavations in Pietralata

This morning, another step forward was made for the construction of the Roma Stadium in the Pietralata area.

According to journalist Alessio Di Francesco on Radio Roma Sound, archaeological excavations began today in the area where the facility will be built.

This is a fundamental preliminary phase to obtain the final green light for construction: this step will be used to evaluate the archaeological impact of the intervention.

The objective is to move forward, confirming the intention to respect the deadlines set for the presentation of the final project.

Thus, after the protests last Monday, which led to the suspension of the works, excavations are starting again as also announced by the Municipality in an official note.
