Roma are eager to strengthen their attacking options during the winter transfer window.
They have scored just 16 goals in Serie A this season, the joint-fewest among the teams in the top half of the table.
The Giallorossi are considering a swap deal involving Artem Dovbyk and Everton striker Beto, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
Dovbyk has struggled for Roma this season, scoring just two league goals, while Beto has fallen behind Thierno Barry in the pecking order at Everton.
Sanctioning the deal will not be difficult, as Roma and Everton are both owned by the Friedkin Group.
The proposed deal will not affect Roma’s pursuit of Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee.
United are open to letting Zirkzee leave on loan with an obligation to buy for €45 million.
This would be contingent on Roma qualifying for the Champions League, but they want the clause reduced.
Roma are considering terminating Evan Ferguson’s loan move from Brighton & Hove Albion, which would help them complete their other deals.
They are aloso keeping tabs on Tottenham Hotspur’s Mathys Tel and Atletico Madrid forward Giacomo Raspadori as they look to bolster their attack in the upcoming transfer window.
Fiorentina forward Albert Gudmundsson, Genoa youngster Jeff Ekhator and Corinthians striker Yuri Alberto are also on their radar.
