Roma, Feyenoord and Porto among clubs interested in Wolfsburg’s Saël Kumbedi | OneFootball

VfL Wolfsburg’s Saël Kumbedi (21) is not expected to continue his time with the Wolves, according to Foot Mercato.

Having enjoyed an interesting season, despite his club’s relegation to the second division, the French full-back is attracting interest. In Italy, Lazio and Roma are reportedly keeping a close eye on the former Lyon player’s situation. FC Porto, Feyenoord and a Ligue 1 club whose identity is not yet known are also said to be in the running.

Under contract with VfL until 2029, but with a rising market value, Kumbedi is reportedly unlikely to be retained by his club should a satisfactory offer be made. Having made 24 Bundesliga appearances and provided five assists during his first season in Germany, he may not be staying there for long.

A product of Le Havre’s youth academy, the Stains-born player joined Olympique Lyonnais in the summer of 2022, where he was regarded as a promising young talent. Having made 62 appearances for Les Gones, he eventually joined Wolfsburg on loan last summer, before signing a permanent deal for a fee of around €9m a few months later.
