Strasbourg’s World Cup pair Diego Moreira and Julio Enciso are attracting strong interest, with Roma and Galatasaray circling. Each is valued at around €35m.
As in every summer since 2022, Strasbourg are busy in the market. Eighth in Ligue 1, they have already signed Sousa, Brantlind, Del Blanco and Pietukowski, with further arrivals planned, notably a starting goalkeeper and a centre forward.
Departures are mounting too. Emmanuel Emegha has signed for Chelsea and is expected to be joined by Valentin Barco after the World Cup.
Sky Italia reports that Roma are negotiating for Moreira, with Gasperini keen to make him Wesley’s replacement in his 3-4-2-1. The Belgium international winger, 21, is understood to have agreed a four-year deal with Roma, third last season and in the Champions League, that would double his salary. A fee around €35m could be agreed quickly for a player bought for €8.5m two years ago.
Enciso’s impressive World Cup has drawn attention. Signed for just under €10m last summer, the Paraguay forward, 22, is a priority for Galatasaray, as coach Okan Buruk confirmed on TRT Spor on Tuesday.
He would arrive in Türkiye under the new rule that eases recruitment of foreign players under 23. Enciso would be the long-awaited replacement for Dries Mertens at the Turkish champions, who will play in next season’s Champions League.
