Roma’s transfer window remains focused on the attack, with Artem Dovbyk at the center of negotiations.
Sporting director Frederic Massara is reportedly trying to sell the Ukrainian striker, who has been on Napoli’s wish list to replace the injured Lukaku.
In the last few hours, as reported by Il Messaggero Veneto, Roma have made inquiries about Alessandro Zanoli, a Napoli full-back born in 2000 and returning from a loan spell at Genoa.
Last season, the versatile Italian player made 33 appearances, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
Zanoli can be deployed as a winger on either flank or as a central defender.
Fiorentina and Udinese are also interested in the player: the Friulians had reached an agreement for a transfer worth €5 million, but Zanoli appears undecided between the various options.
For Napoli, however, the priority in attack remains Hojlund and only if the deal with Manchester United fails could the Neapolitan club focus on Dovbyk.
