Roma keen on Manchester City’s Claudio Echeverri | OneFootball

Serie A side Roma continue to look to bolster their squad and are now looking to sign Manchester City’s Claudio Echeverri.

Some months ago, Lazio were seen as a destination for the youngster, who played for the Citizens at the recently concluded FIFA Club World Cup after having joined the side in January.

Now, he could be on his way out. Gianluca di Marzio has reported that Roma’s search for an attacking midfielder has seen them keep an eye on Echeverri.

The Giallorossi are considering the idea of handing their spare non-EU spot to the 19-year-old, but they would only do that if a deal is done on their terms and not on Manchester City’s terms.

Roma want to offer an initial loan deal to the Citizens are also willing to include an option to buy. This possibility might not appeal to Manchester City, who see a future with the teenager.
