With Enzo Le Fee set to depart the Italian capital, Roma want to strengthen their midfield in January.
The Giallorossi will seek a replacement of the French midfielder who is set to join Sunderland in the coming days.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, Roma are very active on the market as they plan on adding new reinforcements.
One of them could be Antoine Makoumbou, tipped as a possible candidate to replace Le Fee.
Ranieri already coached Makoumbou last season at Cagliari.
The 26-year-old has made 15 appearances in Serie A this season, with one assist to his name.
