Liverpool’s busy summer transfer window may have closed on 1 September, but rumours around Federico Chiesa’s future have not gone away.
The Turkish market remains open until 12 September, and Besiktas are the latest club to show interest in our Italian winger.

Fabrizio Romano confirmed on his YouTube channel that the Turkish side reached out to Anfield officials this week.
“I can also reveal to you that Besiktas also called for Federico Chiesa,” Romano explained.
“Besiktas in the last 24-48 hours tried to call for Federico Chiesa to understand the situation at Liverpool.
“What I can tell you is that Liverpool are not letting Federico go on loan. At the moment negotiations are not advanced. It’s not something really concrete or advanced but they made a call also for Federico Chiesa.”
Romano added that Besiktas are “prepared to invest money” and could be one to watch before their deadline shuts.
The 27-year-old has played more minutes this season than he managed for large parts of last year, but Arne Slot did not name him in our Champions League league phase squad.
Italy boss Gennaro Gattuso also recently said Chiesa told him he “didn’t feel it” when asked to link up with the national team, raising further questions over his fitness and mindset.

With Alexander Isak arriving for a British record £125m fee, competition for places in attack is fierce.
The Swede’s signing has pushed the former Juventus man further down the pecking order, alongside Hugo Ekitike.
Liverpool have already signed Florian Wirtz to bolster creativity, but losing Chiesa now would leave us short of depth, especially with Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota no longer in our squad.
Unless Besiktas return with a huge bid to buy outright, Anfield officials are unlikely to sanction any move.
