Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Gianluigi Donnarumma could remain at Paris Saint-Germain, even as the club edges closer to a deal with Lucas Chevalier.
No final agreement has yet been reached regarding the Italian goalkeeper's future. But according to Romano, Donnarumma is ready to stay and fight to keep his spot as the starting keeper, just as he did when facing off against Keylor Navas.Romano posted this message on his X account:
Gigio Donnarumma and his entourage are not ruling out staying at Paris Saint-Germain.Even with a contract running until June 2026 and the imminent arrival of Chevalier, Gigio could stay and battle for his place, just as he did with Navas...
Meanwhile, Manchester United are closely monitoring the situation. The English club has reportedly begun negotiations with PSG over a potential transfer as early as this summer. The Red Devils are on the hunt for a major reinforcement between the posts. André Onana is injured, and Altay Bayındır has struggled to impress. United manager Ruben Amorim wants an experienced and reliable goalkeeper.PSG, for their part, would be open to selling Donnarumma if a good offer comes in. The club does not want to repeat the scenario of losing a star on a free transfer as with Mbappé.
