Chelsea have sacked Liam Rosenior, and Fabrizio Romano has dropped a clip with a lot of speculation about who his replacement could be.
“Chelsea will start immediately to check the candidates for the permanent job,” Romano begins.
He points out that a key thing will be picking someone who the players who weren’t happy working with Liam Rosenior are onboard with, then reels off a few names who have been mentioned:
“With or without Champions League… the Chelsea job is still very, very appealing to several top managers… Andoni Iraola will now start conversations with several clubs… he’s available. Cesc Fabregas is totally committed to the Como project… between Chelsea and Enzo Maresca it’s totally over… at the moment with Jose Mourinho nothing to say.”
We’re sure this is just the start, but it seems more people are being ruled out than in right now. Most of those are silly suggestions in any case.

Romano also reported on a “clause” in the Chelsea deal with Rosenior which means they don’t have to pay out his full contract when sacking him. What a relief…
Chelsea confirmed the news of the sacking on Wednesday afternoon, although it was inevitable since the night before.
