Rossi details 'miracle' save for Flamengo at Corinthians | OneFootball

Flamengo goalkeeper Rossi produced a superb late save at Neo Química Arena to deny Corinthians. According to Coluna Do Fla, he later explained how he managed it.

The decisive chance arrived in the closing minutes, when he narrowed the angle on Yuri Alberto and flung himself to reach the shot. His right hand diverted the effort behind for a corner.

Flamengo were down to 10 and pinned back, and Rossi's intervention ensured the hosts could not find a late goal.

He said he initially expected Yuri Alberto to try an overhead kick, then, once the forward brought the ball down, he closed the space and made the stop. Rossi added he was pleased with the save and with claiming a point, which softened the mood.

The outcome moved Flamengo into the Brasileirão's top four on 14 points, keeping them close to the leaders.

Flamengo next play in the league on 2 April against Red Bull Bragantino at 21:30 Brasília time in Bragança Paulista.
