Ruben Amorim has insisted Marcus Rashford's Manchester United future is completely in his hands.
Rashford was left out of four straight matchday squads last month - a period which also saw him admit his desire for a "new challenge" - before going unused on the bench last time out against Newcastle United.
He is expected to miss Sunday's meeting with Liverpool through illness, but Amorim insisted the door remains open to Rashford to force his way back into contention when he recovers.
"I already spoke a lot about Marcus, it depends more on him than on me," Amorim told Sky Sports News. "He has to want it really, really bad. He's here, he's in our squad so he's our player and he's ready to play if I decide.
"If he's there, he's ready to play."
Rashford is reported to have rejected the chance to earn an annual salary of £35m over in Saudi Arabia, having decided that he will only leave United for a club which can boost his chances of returning to the England squad.
Behind the scenes, it is believed Rashford is not agitating for a move away from United and has even responded positively to Amorim's public challenges as he looks to battle his way back into the starting lineup.
