La Liga giants Barcelona’s ongoing negotiations with AS Monaco over the sale of Ansu Fati have hit something of a roadblock.

That’s according to Diario Sport, who have on Thursday provided an insight into the situation.

Wide-man Ansu is of course widely expected to bring a close to his Barcelona stint over the weeks ahead.

After the 22-year-old again struggled for game-time in Catalunya’s capital this past season, Deco and the Camp Nou brass opened negotiations with their counterparts at the aforementioned Monaco, over a loan deal for the 2025/26 campaign.

Initial reports suggested that an agreement would not be long in being struck between the parties.

As alluded to above, though, talks between the parties have since not progressed as initially hoped. To the point that Monaco have been labelled as ‘running out of patience’ with Deco and co.

As per a report from Diario Sport:

‘Monaco insist that the economic agreement with Ansu and Barça is still pending to specify numerous variables. Manager Adi Hütter is running out of patience and wants to clear up doubts.’

Should an accord not be found by June 28th – the start date for Monaco’s pre-season – the principality club could in turn shift focus towards other targets.
