San Lorenzo confirmed it has regained all of its historic land in Boedo after signing a free usufruct agreement with the Corporación Buenos Aires Sur for the remaining 8,345 square metres on Avenida La Plata.

The announcement came on Tuesday at the Pedro Bidegain stadium, led by president Sergio Costantino.

The move represents one of the club's most important institutional advances since the 2012 Historic Restitution Law, driven by members and fans.

The agreement followed more than three years of work and negotiations, involving directors, members and other groups who helped unblock the process.

The aim is not only to recover the land but to develop a sustainable project integrated with the neighbourhood.

Plans include a year-round multipurpose stadium that, alongside sport, would operate as an open space for the community.

Urban impact studies and meetings with neighbours have been carried out to assess circulation and day-to-day operations in the area.

Projected benefits include expanding the institution’s schools, new sporting and social initiatives, scholarships for the colonia, and five recreational courts over the next decade.

A 1,600 square metre green corridor is also planned to enhance the Boedo environment.

The agreement contains a clause obliging San Lorenzo to start development, and if within 10 years at least 20% of the stadium is not built, the land must be returned.

That condition was proposed by the club to safeguard continuity across future administrations.
