Santiago Bueno has been among Wolves’ most consistent performers this season. According to Sport Witness, four Premier League clubs, Leeds United, Crystal Palace, West Ham and Brentford, are now targeting the defender after Wolves’ relegation.
Wanderers will drop into the Championship next season, ending eight years in the top flight. A major rebuild is planned for 2026/27, and the club would like some key figures, including Bueno, to stay, although demotion complicates that.
The report said Bueno is planning to change clubs following relegation, and that all four sides have made contact over a move. It also noted there is no asking price yet and went as far as stating he will leave this summer.
West Ham remain in a relegation fight at present, but a move could see him link up with former Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo. The pair did not cross paths at Molineux, and Nuno already works with ex-Wolves duo Max Kilman and Adama Traore.
Crystal Palace are also worth watching given sporting director Matt Hobbs, who held the same role at Wolves when Bueno joined from Girona for £8.5 million.
On form, Bueno would merit staying in the Premier League. Where he ends up remains to be seen.
