Santos: Billal Brahimi nears an exit

Algerian player Billal Brahimi is edging closer to a likely departure from FC Santos.

By choosing to join Santos after his contract with OGC Nice ended, Billal Brahimi made a bold move. This decision saw him line up alongside Neymar Jr. However, what awaited him was nothing short of a nightmare.

The Algerian international found himself caught in the midst of internal strife at Santos and hasn't played since making his debut last September, just four days after his official unveiling.

Since then, the door has opened for a premature exit, as the former Angers man hopes to convince Algeria's national team coach to take him to the 2026 World Cup. According to Foot Mercato, Brahimi’s camp is in talks with several clubs, including teams from Saudi Arabia, Major League Soccer, and also Ligue 1 sides Auxerre, Nantes, and Le Havre.
