Santos are exploring the option of moving a Brasileirão home game to São Paulo in April, with logistics and scheduling under review. According to Diario Do Peixe, the board are weighing scenarios before any decision.
The plan concerns fixtures whose detailed schedules have not yet been set by the CBF. The meeting with Remo on the second of April is already locked in at Vila Belmiro, and the Sudamericana tie with Recoleta on 12 April cannot switch to the capital due to a clash with São Paulo’s match that day.
As a result, attention has turned to two league dates, Atlético Mineiro in the 11th round and Fluminense in the following fixture. Internally, the Atlético Mineiro game is seen as the most viable.
For the Atlético Mineiro round, among the state’s big clubs only Santos and Corinthians would be at home, with São Paulo away. For the Fluminense date, there is again a favourable window, with Santos and Palmeiras at home and the other rivals away.
Venue choice is also under analysis, with talks required both with the CBF and with capital clubs willing to loan a stadium. A recent arrangement with São Paulo under Julio Casares allowed Santos to use Morumbis twice while the rival played four times at Vila Belmiro.
With a change of management at the capital club in early 2026, discussions must be reopened. Any switch of venue depends on those talks and CBF approval, with dates, times and venues currently confirmed only up to the 10th round.
