Santos include Moisés and race to register forward for Athletico-PR clash | OneFootball

Santos have included forward Moisés in their travelling squad for Thursday 12’s trip to Athletico-PR, with kick-off at 19:00 at Arena da Baixada in the third round of the Brasileirão.

According to Diario Do Peixe, the club are working to register him on the CBF’s BID on Wednesday 11.

If the paperwork is completed, Santos plan to confirm the deal on social media and he will be available to coach Vojvoda to debut against the Furacão. He joins permanently from Fortaleza for two million euros plus up to one million euros in bonuses tied to sporting targets.

Moisés had been under contract with Fortaleza until December 2027, but accepted the move as a player trusted by Vojvoda. The forward, from Morro da Fumaça in Santa Catarina, is 29.

He began at Hercílio Luz, was loaned to Concórdia, then moved on a permanent deal, during which he spent loans at Brusque and Ponte Preta.

He later signed permanently for Ponte Preta before joining Fortaleza in 2022. Fortaleza sold him to Cruz Azul in Mexico, and he returned to the Ceará club the year before last.

His honours include the 2019 Copa Santa Catarina with Brusque, the Copa do Nordeste in 2022 and 2024, and the Cearense in 2022 and 2023 with Fortaleza. He is Santos’s fourth signing this year, alongside midfielder Gabriel Menino on loan from Atlético-MG, centre-forward Gabriel Barbosa on loan from Cruzeiro, and winger Rony on a permanent deal.
