Santos have lodged their first documents for the Sistema de Sustentabilidade Financeira, SSF, the CBF's Financial Fair Play system, filing with ANRESF, the regulator, on Monday 11. According to Diario Do Peixe, the submission is part of mandatory annual reporting for Serie A and B clubs.

This initial delivery covers the solvency requirement. Further filings across the year will address financial statements, governance and transparency, and budget information.

Each submission demands a cross-department process involving compliance, finance, accounting and human resources. The obligation came into force in 2026 with the relevant regulation.

The Financial Fair Play framework sets rules to protect clubs' economic health and the integrity of competitions, with its central aim to ensure solvency and sustainability.

Santos have been active in the CBF working group that developed the system, and its input was incorporated into the final regulation. President Marcelo Teixeira views the framework as an important evolution for Brazilian football and as consistent with more professional, governance-led management.

He added that, beyond regulatory duty, the regime offers a chance to strengthen planning, responsibility and integrity within the game, and that the club is approaching it with seriousness and a strong sense of institutional responsibility.
