According to UOL, Santos will stage a behind closed doors training match against Osasco Sporting on Thursday at 15:00 at CT Rei Pelé.
Cuca’s side are seeking more minutes and ideas in a second run-out of the break. They played a friendly last Saturday at Pacaembu, beating União São João 3-0 with goals from Moisés, Ananias and Juninho (P).
That game brought in revenue, returned the club to the capital venue and reunited them with supporters. This time, the session will be closed to media and fans. The board had already planned games during the interseason.
With the Portugal tour cancelled, Santos arranged the Araras friendly and now this Osasco test. Osasco Sporting are preparing for the Copa Paulista and have competed in the Paulista A-2.
After the World Cup pause and 21 days off for the squad, two weeks of interseason work led into the first friendly. This training match falls in the third week and the last full week before competition resumes. Santos are due to face Botafogo on Thursday 16 at 19:30 at Nilton Santos in the Brasileirão.
