Santos ‘to seek’ at least five signings, tracking Flamengo quartet | OneFootball

Santos are assessing the market for reinforcements and aim to add at least five players in the next transfer window. Priorities include both full-back roles, centre-back, midfield and attack.

According to Diario Do Peixe, the club are monitoring options at Flamengo whose futures could be clarified in the coming months.

Left-back Ayrton Lucas, midfielder Erick Pulgar and forwards Luiz Araújo and Everton Cebolinha are being tracked. There are currently no negotiations under way, and the quartet sit within a broader shortlist.

Santos’ hierarchy accept any talks would be complicated, given potential transfer fees and wages. They would also need to persuade players competing for national titles and continental competitions to buy into a new project.

Finances are another consideration. Larger deals could rely on player sales, while progress would also depend on Flamengo’s readiness to discuss members of their first-team squad.
