Santos closed Brazil’s first transfer window with a 32-man squad after a flurry of exits and selective arrivals, with new registrations reopening on 20 July.
According to Globo.com, the club added six signings, centre-back Lucas Veríssimo, midfielders Christian Oliva and Gabriel Menino, and forwards Rony, Moisés and Gabriel Barbosa. Barbosa and Menino arrived on loan from Cruzeiro and Atlético-MG respectively.
Santos paid around R$ 62 million for the quartet signed permanently. Rony cost about €3 million, R$ 18.1 million, Moisés €2 million, R$ 12 million, and Oliva $1.5 million, R$ 7.8 million. Veríssimo’s fee totalled R$ 24.1 million.
From the 2025 group, 12 players have departed, with two sales bolstering finances. Guilherme joined Houston Dynamo for $2.1 million, R$ 11 million, and Souza moved to Tottenham for €15 million, R$ 90.5 million.
Nine others left on loan. Billal Brahimi joined Estrela da Amadora until the end of the European season, then he will depart Santos permanently to remain with the Portuguese side.
Right-back JP Chermont went to Coritiba and midfielder Hyan to Avaí. Centre-back Luisão moved to Goiás. Alexis Duarte joined Libertad of Paraguay, suffered a serious left knee injury on debut and is out for the season.
Forward Gustavo Caballero was loaned to Portsmouth in England’s second tier and has nine appearances and one goal. He has also been called up and debuted for Paraguay against Greece in this international window.
Victor Hugo’s Flamengo loan ended as he was sold to Atlético-MG for $2.5 million, R$ 13.1 million, with Santos due 10 percent as a shop-window fee. João Basso mutually terminated a contract that ran to year end and has signed for Cuiabá.
