São Paulo boss comments on possible Corinthians signing

After the 1-1 draw in the Majestoso derby this Sunday (18), in the third round of the Paulistão, at Neo Química Arena, São Paulo coach Hernán Crespo spoke about the possible swap involving midfielder Alisson, who is of interest to Timão.

Initially, Crespo took a direct tone by stating that the club will assist players who are not fully satisfied with their situation: “If Alisson has the possibility to leave, it’s not a problem. Anyone who, for whatever reason, it’s not about being good or bad, is not happy with the situation, we will help. We helped Jandrei, players who are not comfortable. At São Paulo, you have to be well, try to help. When your mind is not with São Paulo, the idea is to help you leave.” he said.

When commenting on a possible player swap with Corinthians, a possibility also denied by Dorival Júnior, the rival coach dismissed the idea: “No one (from Corinthians). If he goes to Corinthians, it’s not my problem, it’s his choice. From Corinthians, I don’t need anyone.”

Corinthians coach Dorival Jr. also commented on the situation regarding Alisson and his possible arrival at Timão, using a more “affectionate” tone towards the player, although he also denied the possibility of giving players to the rival.

“Yes, I like Alisson, he was an important player during my time at São Paulo, but I want to make it very clear that I have not made any Corinthians professionals available, especially because I need reinforcements, I need more players to arrive and not to lose any along the way. I have great respect for these players, so I don’t like to see my name involved in a situation that is untrue.” said the alvinegro coach.
