A recent report from Real Madrid Confidencial has revealed a fresh twist in Saudi Arabia’s pursuit of top football talents.
While the Middle Eastern nation initially set its sights on Vinicius Jr., their focus has now shifted towards Brahim Diaz, another key player in Real Madrid’s squad.
Last summer, Saudi Arabia made headlines by attempting to lure Vinicius with a substantial financial package.
The Brazilian forward was viewed as a crucial figure in the country’s long-term football vision, and officials were willing to invest heavily to secure his services.
However, both Vinicius and Real Madrid were firm in their stance, repeatedly rejecting the advances. Faced with this resistance, Saudi officials have now turned their attention to Brahim Diaz.
Reports indicate that Saudi Arabia is prepared to table an offer of up to €80 million for the 25-year-old attacking midfielder.
This aggressive approach underlines their determination to acquire a marquee player from Real Madrid’s squad, even if it means shifting their target from Vinicius to Brahim.

Their strategy is clear—if they cannot persuade one star to leave, they will intensify their efforts to secure another.
This substantial offer has prompted Real Madrid to assess the situation carefully. While Brahim is not an undisputed starter, he remains a valuable asset for the club, capable of making a significant impact whenever called upon.
Given the depth of competition within the squad, the player himself might find the prospect of a move appealing, especially if it guarantees him a more prominent role elsewhere.
At the moment, Brahim’s future remains undecided. While Real Madrid values his contributions, the intense battle for playing time could influence his decision.
The financial package offered by Saudi Arabia is undeniably tempting, but at 25 years of age, Brahim still has plenty to achieve in European football.
His next move will depend on multiple factors, including his personal ambitions and the club’s plans for him in the coming seasons.
Saudi Arabia’s pursuit of top-tier talent continues, and while Vinicius proved to be an unattainable target, Brahim has now emerged as their latest priority.
