Enzo, the middle son of Flamengo midfielder Saúl, is back home after a spell in intensive care.

According to Globo.com, he spent several nights in hospital following a complication from nasal septum surgery, and Saúl wrote on X that Enzo was recovering at home and passed on thanks to supporters.

Enzo was born in 2023. Saúl also has África, born in 2021, and Marco, born in 2025 in Rio de Janeiro.

The Spaniard returned from injury in the weekend win over Bahia in the Brasileirão and addressed the family ordeal afterwards. He was pleased to be back, acknowledging it had been a heavy few days while his middle child was in intensive care, and seeing his daughter lifted him.

Saúl completed 45 minutes for the first time this season in the Copa do Brasil opener against Vitória. He also came on on 33 minutes against Bahia and, with his first touch, provided an assist for Paquetá.
