Scaroni offers Bologna-Milan update before Serie A meeting: “What the solution might be” | OneFootball

With there being no clarification about AC Milan’s match against Bologna yet, Paolo Scaroni was asked to provide an update on the situation.

Throughout the week there have been questions about this weekend’s fixture, given difficult conditions are expected. Last night, the possibility of postponement seemed most likely, with the Mayor signing an ordinance. However, the clubs are trying to avoid this.

It was reported this morning that there are three hypotheses being considered – Bologna forfeiting the game, playing the game behind closed doors, or playing at an alternate ground. With the latter two being favoured.

Seemingly, the decision will go between these two options, and this morning, Scaroni was asked about the situation, and it seems he is in a similar boat to everyone else – his words have been relayed by Milan News.

“I don’t know much about it, I haven’t dealt with the issue. But I think that either it is played behind closed doors, or it is played somewhere else. The hypothesis that it will not be played frankly…. Last night we heard about the mayor’s order and we’re thinking about seeing what the solution might be,’ the words of the Rossoneri number one.”

A decision should hopefully arrive within the next few hours, but with little clarification on the situation by all parties, it is certainly frustrating for the fans.
