According to Glorioso 1904, Benfica winger Andreas Schjelderup’s surge since early 2026 is drawing interest across Europe, with Milan among the clubs monitoring his progress.

The 21-year-old is enjoying his best spell since arriving at the club, capped by April when he collected three Liga awards, player, forward and young player of the month. In four league games he scored two and provided one assist.

The turning point came against Real Madrid in the last round of the Champions League's regular phase, when he struck twice and cemented his place in José Mourinho's plans. Since then he has started 14 of 16 matches and delivered 11 direct goal contributions.

Before facing Estoril, Mourinho praised his physical, mental and tactical growth, saying he should feel very proud and that there is no comparison with the player from a few months ago, aside from the baby face.

This season Schjelderup, valued at 20 million euros, has played 42 times for Benfica, 27 in Liga Portugal Betclic, 10 in the Champions League, four in the Taça de Portugal and one in the Taça da Liga. Across 2,464 minutes he has 10 goals and six assists.
