Andreas Schjelderup is expected to leave Benfica this month after slipping in José Mourinho’s plans, with the club seeking room for reinforcements. Benfica are tracking developments around his potential exit.
Record reports that a proposed move to Parma has drifted, and the deal could collapse this window because no agreement has been reached.
Parma appear to be cooling their interest after difficulties in reaching terms with the Norwegian winger, while Benfica’s number 21 is unconvinced by the project.
If the Parma switch falls through, he is still expected to depart in January, as Benfica want to prioritise the signings of Rafa Silva and André Luiz.
After several games out of Mourinho’s selections, he started against Rio Ave and played only 62 minutes. With the World Cup around the corner, his limited time has drawn close attention from Stale Solbakken.
This season he has made 23 appearances for Benfica, 12 in the Liga Portugal Betclic, six in the Champions League, four in the Taça de Portugal and one in the Taça da Liga. Across 1,047 minutes he has scored two goals and provided three assists, and he is valued at €14 million.
