Schlotterbeck and Can included in Dortmund squad for trip to Bergamo

Nico Schlotterbeck and Emre Can have been named in Borussia Dortmund’s squad for tomorrow’s Champions League play-off second leg in Bergamo.

The club said in a social media post that 23 players will travel to northern Italy as BVB aim to book a last 16 place.

Both were pictured taking part in the final training session at Brackel earlier today, offering a positive indication of their readiness.

Their inclusion does not mean they will feature against Atalanta BC, though it suggests they are available should coach Niko Kovač call on them.

The timing is useful for Dortmund, who host Bayern Munich next Saturday at 18:30 CET. A win for BVB would trim Bayern’s lead to five points.
