Scotland 0-1 Morocco ratings: El Khannouss lively, Saibari decisive | OneFootball

Ismael Saibari proved decisive again, as in the opener against Brazil, as Morocco beat Scotland 1-0, with Bilal El Khannouss outstanding down the left. According to L'Équipe, both were the standout performers on Friday.

Saibari broke the deadlock in the second minute with a brilliant run and finish. Achraf Hakimi then raced beyond Grant Hanley and almost made it 2-0 on 18 minutes.

Scotland struggled to create. Lewis Ferguson’s free-kicks on 24 and 44 minutes yielded little. Che Adams produced a cut-back for Kieran Tierney at 45+3 minutes.

After the break, Saibari nearly doubled the lead with another clever move on 50 minutes, before El Khannouss went close with a header on 52. Adams managed only 11 touches and was replaced by Lyndon Dykes on 71 minutes.

El Khannouss and Saibari received sevens, while Ayyoub Bouaddi earned a six for pressing and composure. Hanley, Ferguson and Adams were each marked three after underwhelming displays.
